       Yerzhan Belyayev is a Research Professor at the Department of Mechanics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He earned his PhD in Mechanics from the same university in 2015 and was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 2021. From 2020 to 2023, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Mechanics, focusing on thermal engineering and thermodynamic systems. In 2021, he undertook a short-term postdoctoral research stay at the LEMTA R&D Center, University of Lorraine (France) under the CAMPUS France program. Since 2023, he has been the coordinator of the double-degree program in Geo-Energy between the University of Lorraine (France) and Farabi University (Kazakhstan). Together with Professor Olivier Botella, he supervises the implementation of the “Heat and Mass Transfer” course and develops curricula on renewable energy systems. Achievements and Memberships: Winner of the National Competition “Best Researcher 2023”, organized by the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan; Winner of the “Best Young Scientist 2022” award at Al-Farabi KazNU; Member of the National Scientific Council on Energy and Mechanical Engineering (2020–2023); Since 2021, member of the Expert Council on Mathematics under the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education. His research interests include mathematical modeling of heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, thermal engineering, solar energy systems, ground source heat pumps, and applied thermodynamics. He has led and participated in multiple national and international projects on optimization of ground heat exchangers, solar-assisted systems, and latent heat thermal energy storage using phase change materials. Dr. Belyayev has over 20 publications in high-impact international journals indexed in Scopus (h-index = 10, Scopus ID: 57195693973). He serves as a reviewer for top journals such as Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, Energy and Built Environment, Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, and Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments. He is also a member of scientific committees of prestigious international conferences in Central and Eastern Europe.
